We continue to see patients that have been with the clinic for more than 20 years. As allergies have a strong genetic basis, we see multiple generations of many families. Dr. Howland sees children ages 6 and older as well as all adults. . Our services:
• Skin testing for inhalants, stinging insects, and food allergies
• Pulmonary (lung) function testing
• In-office Food Challenges
• Development of an emergency action plan with instructions for the treatment of allergic food reactions
• Allergy immunotherapy injections (allergy shots)

Following retirement from my practice November 1st, 2021, I am continuing to serve as an Investigator for studies for new treatments with my research company Orion Clinical Research. We concentrate on studies for asthma, allergy and skin conditions like eczema and chronic hives. We are always looking for volunteers. Dr. William Howland is retiring from Allergy and Asthma Center of Austin on November 1st, 2021. Dr. Michael Saavedra will assume the care of Dr. Howland's patients on November 1st.
Dr. Saavedra is a double board-certified allergist with Allergy Partners PLLC, a national group of 140 allergists. He will continue the personalized state-of-the-art treatment you have received from Dr. Howland.
Your medical records will automatically transfer to Dr. Saavedra. If you would like a copy of your medical records, please call 512-345-7635 or speak to the receptionist to receive a Medical Records Release Form.
Dr. Howland wishes you a long and healthy life.
