Meet your new injections instructor Jennifer Jacques!!💉 We are so excited to have her as part of our team, teaching our neurotoxin and tissue filler injectable courses!
Jennifer is a native of Kansas. Her first degree from Kansas State University was in Spanish Language and Literature. She then went on to study nursing at Fort Hays State University in Western Kansas, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After moving to Kansas City, she began practicing as a registered nurse in the neurology department. In 2014, she relocated to Texas, living in Dallas for a few years before returning to graduate school at the University of Texas at Austin. After completing the Family Nurse Practitioner program at UT, she spent a few months working as an intern in dermatology. Here she also learned the basics of aesthetic medicine.
During her graduate studies at UT, Jennifer worked as a graduate teaching assistant for the BSN clinical program. Now she enjoys giving back to her alma mater through a preceptorship program with UT, giving FNP students a chance to learn the science of aesthetic medicine from her. She also works as a clinical trainer and educational speaker at her primary place of work, educating medical students, NP and PA students, and other medical professionals wishing to transition into the aesthetic field.
Jennifer believes in maintaining a continued education throughout her own professional journey. It is important to her to stay up-to-date on the latest products and techniques in the industry. She approaches aesthetics with a growth mindset and thoroughly enjoys the learning process.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and her Doberman, traveling, watching NFL games, (particularly the Kansas City Chiefs), cooking new recipes, trying new restaurants with friends, reading, lifting weights, or taking a good nap.
