Dr. Aguirre is a native of San Antonio, TX, and received his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University in Political Science. During his time at Texas A&M he was an active participant in the Corps of Cadets and served as the Handler of Reveille, the Aggie’s beloved mascot. He then attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed his residency training at Parkland Memorial Hospital at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Aguirre has extensive experience with routine and high risk Obstetrics, in addition to minimally invasive Gynecologic surgery, including Laparoscopic and Da Vinci Robotic techniques. While in residency he was awarded the Resident Achievement Award for laparoscopic surgery by the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the Texas Medical Association and Travis County Medical Society. He enjoys spending much of his free time outdoors whether it is on the lake, hiking along the Greenbelt or participating in intramural sports. His favorite part of the year is fall, the heart of college football season. Despite being an Aggie in Longhorn country, he is most excited to be in the live music capital of the world. Dr. Aguirre shares a passion for caring for women in all stages of life and treats his patients as he would treat a member of his family.
