Our 2025 Winter Meeting Speakers have been announced! More information on meeting registration is coming soon!

Diego Velasquez, DDS, MSD is a world renowned periodontist and a graduate of our very own UT Health Science Center at San Antonio! He will be speaking about Minimally Invasive Surgical Regenerative Therapy in Periodontics: A Microsurgical Approach.

He practices in Fenton, Michigan and serves as an adjunct faculty at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Dr. Velasquez is a distinguished clinician in our field with many achievements, including the Clinical Research Award in 2017 and 2021, in addition to serving as past President of the Midwest Society of Periodontology, the Michigan Periodontal AssociationC and the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation

David Cross, DDS, also a world renowned clinician, has extensive private practice experience of 34 years, and practiced microsurgery for over 24 years. He is currently practicing in his private practice in Springfield, Illinois. Dr. Cross will be lecturing on Periodontal and Implant Microsurgery.

In addition to several publications on microsurgery, Dr. Cross also teaches microsurgery in the United States, Japan, and all over Europe. He also is a postgraduate periodontics professor at LSU and teaches at the Urban Regeneration Institute in Budapest.

We look forward to learning from these two distinguished clinicians and hope to see you in Dallas in 2025!

Flashback Friday to 2014 when Dr. Stacy Beltran won the John F Prichard Competition!!

Dr. Beltran, a graduate of Texas A&M (Baylor) College of Dentistry, returned to her hometown of Edinburg, Texas where she practices as a board certified periodontist. She is an active member of the Rio Grand Valley Dental Society, TDA, AAP, and SWSP. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son.

The Prichard competition never disappoints and is always an exciting time to learn about the future of periodontics and see what our programs are researching.
