August 30 is National Grief Awareness Day, a time to acknowledge the many forms of grief family caregivers experience. Many caregivers can relate to anticipatory grief, the sadness felt while witnessing the decline of a loved one before theyāre gone.
Whether itās a spouse of someone with a terminal illness, or an adult child seeing an aging parent change over time, these feelings are real and valid. š¬ Offering a kind, understanding voice can make all the difference.
