“Thousands of these courageous Americans... paid a high price for their service... Too often, these workers were neither adequately protected from, nor informed of, the occupational hazards to which they were exposed.” - Executive Order 13179
25 years ago today, on October 30, 2000 (also known as National Day of Remembrance For Nuclear Weapons Program Workers), the EEOICPA was signed into law by President Bill Clinton to honor and compensate the men and women who built our nation’s nuclear defense, often at great personal cost.
While we can never fully repay these workers or their families, this program ensures they receive the recognition and support they deserve. At Giving Home, we honor their sacrifice and remain dedicated to helping those impacted, and our mission of care continues every day.
