Participate in the one-day, high-fidelity simulation MOCA course offered by the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia (SPA) as an add-on activity to the SPA 37th Annual Meeting will fulfill the Part IV requirement of the American Board of Anesthesiology’s Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology Program.

The Society for Pediatric Anesthesia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Society for Pediatric Anesthesia designates this live activity for a maximum of 7 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

LEARNER OBJECTIVES:
-Offer a contextual learning opportunity to assess and improve their practice in areas such as crisis management in a simulation setting at an ASA-endorsed activity.
-Realistically recreate challenging clinical cases to allow participants to problem‐solve in a manner that is similar to actual clinical experience.
-Provide an opportunity for physicians to improve their skills in Practice-Based Learning and Improvement.
-Provide an opportunity for physicians to refresh and refine Teamwork, Communication and crisis resource management skills with colleagues from various types of clinical practices.

In case you missed Dr. James Arens display of accomplishments at , we wanted to make sure everyone got to see it. One of his greatest achievements has been the topic of conversation for years, but many had only heard stories, never actually seeing it. Dr. Arens was the first anesthesiologist to receive the American Board of Anesthesiology Critical Care certification. If you look closely at the picture, you will notice the certificate number at the bottom. Thank you to the Arens family and Dr. Scott Kercheville for the display commemorating Dr. Arens' distinguished career. He was a legend within the world of anesthesiology and a trusted friend within the TSA, he will be missed.

So many of us felt the absence of Dr. George Williams at this past week/weekend. Though he is no longer with us, his presence and impact are still felt by so many in the anesthesiology community. Wearing a bow tie in his honor is just one way to keep his memory alive. We will forever miss his smiling face and perfectly placed bow tie. Our thoughts are with his family, friends & all who knew him during this difficult time.
