It may be your knee telling you it can’t tolerate the current load yet.⁠


A lot of people try stretching, strengthening, resting, and changing activity, but the pain still comes back. ⁠

That’s often because the real issue is Load Tolerance — how much force your knee can handle right now.⁠


The goal is not to guess. ⁠
It’s to find the right starting point and build from there.⁠

Stop guessing if your knee is getting better. You can know in 60 seconds. ⏱️⁠

If your knee feels tight or swollen:⁠
1️⃣ Measure around your knee just above your kneecap (in cm + mm).⁠
2️⃣ Measure around your knee just below your kneecap.⁠
3️⃣ Set a reminder to remeasure in 9 days.⁠

If it’s 3 mm (0.3 cm) smaller or more → swelling is going down ✅⁠
If it’s 3 mm (0.3 cm) bigger or more → swelling is increasing ❌⁠


One client reduced her swelling by 3 cm in just 9 days.⁠

Don’t guess. Measure. Track. Improve.⁠

Also… not always.⁠

Your knees don’t care about the exercise. They care about the dosage.⁠

Too much, too fast = problems.⁠
The right amount = adaptation.⁠

The question isn’t “Is this exercise good or bad?”⁠
It’s “Is this the right dose for me right now?”⁠

So why does your knee hurt after spin class or Peloton, even though PT biking feels fine?⁠

It’s usually not your bike setup, and it’s not that biking is bad.⁠
It’s that your knee was exposed to more load than it was prepared to tolerate.⁠

With cycling, small changes in resistance, speed, duration, or standing can significantly increase compression through the knee.⁠
If your load tolerance isn’t built up gradually, irritation shows up fast.⁠

When the right amount of stress is applied progressively, knees get stronger.⁠
When the dose is too high too soon, pain sticks around.⁠

But if you don’t have a real strategy to improve knee capacity and joint health, symptoms often keep coming back.⁠

This client came in worried about swelling, pain with walking, and the long-term risk of knee degeneration. After following a structured plan focused on strength, joint health, and progression, they were back to walking daily, doing heavy gardening, and staying active without their knee holding them back.⁠
