Law Office of Alison G. Bosch, PLLC

Law Office of Alison G. Bosch, PLLC There are many options available when seeking an attorney to represent you in your SSA disability claim. I completely understand.

I represent disabled Texans filing for Social Security benefits who have become unable to continue working due to severe, long-term health problems. *Not certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization* Everyone is different, and should choose a rep they feel comfortable with. But one of the biggest concerns I hear from new clients is that they don't want to feel like a file number with a la

rge, impersonal, national firm. When you choose me to represent you, you work directly with me. I personally handle your claim. I will personally keep you updated with your claim's status, as well as with what to expect, through every stage of the process. With more than 10 years experience helping disabled Texans to win approval for their benefits, I have seen firsthand how disadvantaged an unrepresented claimant can be. There are no upfront court or filing costs involved in this sort of claim, and you owe no attorney fee unless you are approved for benefits-- so why go through this alone? If you are filing for Social Security disability in Austin, Waco, Bryan/College Station, San Antonio, or their surrounding areas, contact me for a free initial phone consultation. I cannot accept every claim, or promise any particular result. But know that If I represent you, I will deal as much as possible with the SSA, so you can just focus on your health.

HUGE SSA NEWS for people with a disability claim!

SSA has finally acknowledged that it is absurd and unrealistic to hold that work experience a person had 15 years ago is relevant to them being able to instantly return to such a job today. Moving forward, SSA will only consider jobs that a person has held in the last 5 years to be "Prior Relevant Work" when evaluating whether or not their health limitations now prevent them from returning to such past work or sustaining Substantial Gainful Activity in some easier kind of work.

This change does not mean everyone will suddenly be approved for disability-- but it DOES mean that people in certain older age categories with certain types of more exertional work history will have a MUCH better chance of meeting special rules that can be the difference between approval and denial! So this is AWESOME NEWS for claimants/clients!!!

We are finalizing our proposed regulation to revise the time period that we consider when determining whether an individual's past work is relevant for the purposes of making disability determinations and decisions. We are revising the definition of past relevant work (PRW) by reducing the...

While this is NOT an SSA officially recognized diagnostic tool... it helps a lot of people experiencing "invisible" chronic illness communicate what they are trying to live & function with.... Maybe it can be useful in your life? Welcome to "The Spoon Theory!"

*Disclaimer*- This awesome article is part of a marketing post for an attorney locator service--I have nothing to do with that, I just wanted to share the good info about Spoon Theory! 😁-Alison

Spoon Theory tells others how an invisible impairment (i.e., chronic pain) limits your ability to work, which may help you get disability.
