St. Baldrick’s Fair is making its grand return to Dell Children’s on Saturday, March 7, 2026! 🎉

🎪 What to Expect:
We don’t want to give away all the secrets just yet, but think carnival games, a live DJ, dancing, delicious eats… and of course, the chance to Brave the Shave to help conquer childhood cancer. 💈💚

💡 Why It Matters:

More children are lost to cancer in the U.S. than any other disease—more than many other childhood illnesses combined.

Before the age of 20, about 1 in 263 children in the U.S. will face cancer.

Globally, a child is diagnosed every 2 minutes.

As Nurses Week comes to a close, we couldn’t let it end without celebrating one of our very own:

🎉 Madeline Lopez, BSN, RN, CPN — recipient of the 2025 Dell Children’s (Central Campus) Nurse of the Year Award! 🎉

Madeline serves as one of our incredible Inpatient Clinical Leads on 3 East and is an essential part of the CBCC inpatient team. Her dedication, compassion, and leadership have made a lasting impact on our patients, their families, and her fellow colleagues across Dell Children’s.

This year’s Nursing Week theme, “Caring with Strength, Healing with Heart,” perfectly describes Madeline—and every one of our extraordinary nurses. We are so grateful for the heart and strength they bring to their work each and every day.

At Ascension, we join Catholics and people of goodwill around the world in prayer and gratitude. As a Catholic health ministry, we remain committed to the healing ministry of Jesus and to carrying forward the values Pope Francis championed—kindness, justice, and care for the most vulnerable among us and all of God’s creation.

Hello, everyone!

This past Saturday, March 29th, our Dell Children's CBCC team laced up their hiking boots and hit the trails for the 15th annual CureSearch Ultimate Hike at Georgetown Loop! 💛🏔️

16 incredible team members took on the challenge, hiking 26.6 miles and raising over $42,000 for pediatric cancer research! Every step taken and every dollar raised supports CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a national nonprofit dedicated to funding groundbreaking, less toxic treatments for kids battling cancer.
