We endeavor to make acupuncture more accessible and affordable for all. We lower barriers to access by treating in a group setting (which acupuncture is particularly well suited for), and which in turn allows us to charge significantly less for treatment. For one, acupuncture and Oriental medicine is a deep well, with a lot of potential to help alleviate suffering and affect cure. But if people ca
nnot afford to utilize it, and to utilize in such a way as to actually benefit from it - then what's the point? Secondly, their is comfort in the community setting. It helps make something that is essentially still very foreign to many, a little less so. It puts a less clinical and more human spin on the experience. And lastly, we aspire to earn a humble living for the good work we do, and we figure we can actually do that better by charging less and seeing more people. While we are a for-profit endeavor, at the end of the day, the dividends of community acupuncture are social: access to affordable acupuncture for the community / a living wage for us.
