A home studio recording being made with my plant πŸͺ΄
We had fun watching the plant’s activity as it was being recorded.
Thank you for bringing the perfect mic set up for the harp and your mobile recording studio.

The wind naturally amplifies my harp as it vibrates each string. In person the resonance is amazing and ethereal.
I pluck a melody as the wind sings its own song with me on the harp πŸͺ‰

You can hear the plant responding to me fanning it with the palm leaf fan. The plant makes little high pitched tones as the harp is playing on a loop. πŸͺ΄πŸͺ΄

I didn’t realize it did that until I looked back at the recording.
The plant also responds to touch and during performance I interact with the plant to listen to this interaction like a musical conversation.

My plant is connected to a midi device that translates its bioenergy into musical notes.

The air element speaks to me πŸ’¨
The wind vibrates each string and activates all the harmonics of the strings at once. I never heard another sound like this.
Additionally we are standing in an ideal spot between 3 concrete structures that are amplifying the resonance of my harp and creating interesting sound wave interactions.

These concrete structures built here remind me of spaces purposefully built to enhance acoustic experiences. Standing in between 3 open concrete boxes the resonance is amazing with the harp. πŸͺ‰

We made it safely to Mexico City and back home, harp in one piece! I was able to fit my harp in the overhead also on the flight back on Viva!
The trick was to not ask the flight crew. Just went straight to the plane wearing the harp backpack. We bought priority seating.
We did have to argue with the flight attendant to not put anything on top of my harp and almost had a heart attack doing that 😬😬 but it worked πŸ™πŸ½

So grateful to everyone who made this performance and trip happen and for new friends who I got to perform with in this amazing place in.situ z
