This is for my spirit. My spirit as a person and my spirit as a clinician. The only thing I know for sure is that I for sure don’t know it all. Curiosity is the hand we get to hold as we learn to figure it out.

Thank you to for sharing your words and art 🖼️🙌🏻

After reading this quote what comes up for you? Are there certain emotions you are feeling more often than others? Are there emotions you need to gain more perspective with? Maybe you need a little more information about this emotion before that emotion becomes a final draft in your experience. Start with being curious.

Loving this quote! Great food for thought!

In times of difficulty or deep sadness, it may be easy to lose our cool more often and lash out at those we love. This quick agitation that can contribute strain in our relationships tends to be a sign of needing to show ourselves a little extra care care.

Notice this as a sign to take more time for you, engage in more rest, self-care, and even getting support for your mental and emotional health. Hold yourself accountable for your own care, as well as how that contributes to your interactions with others. Remember that by investing in your own well-being, you are investing in improving your meaningful relationships as well.

To set out to “fight fairly” is to set out to let emotions escalate resulting with a fight.

Let’s replace this idea and focus on “communicating responsively” instead.

Focus on what you DO want to experience in your relationships. To communicate responsively is to communicate directly with focus on what can be controlled versus what can’t.

Our Story

Hello and Welcome! I am happy you found me. I'm Mandi and I look forward to the opportunity to meet you. I think one of the most important parts of therapy is connecting with your therapist as a person. It's so important to feel like this person is someone who you can trust and sincerely know we are all working towards your goals together. So here's my elevator speech about myself: I'm from Austin and continued to love Austin enough to build my life here with my husband and daughter. I am passionate about my friends and family, music, the outdoors, and seeing my daughter look for our pet outdoor lizard each night. Life is beautiful but at the same time can be overwhelming. Part of my work as a therapist is to help you mindfully embrace all the beauty (whether within yourself or within your relationships) while being able to identify ways to shift perspective and adapt to new ways of approaching situations. Change can happen each and every conversation if we open ourselves to it. If you'd like to know more about me, my approach to therapy, and my areas of specialty they are listed for individual therapy, relationship therapy, or family therapy. If you are feeling like I might be the right Therapist for you, please contact me for a phone consultation. If you aren't sure (or if your need doesn't fit under my "Areas of Specialty") contact me anyway. We can meet and I can offer trusted referrals if need be.
