Over the past two days, our board of directors came together for thoughtful, forward-looking conversations about the future of public health in Texas and THI's role in shaping it. Grounded in deep commitment and shared vision, the retreat was a space to reflect, strategize, and reimagine what's next for THI.

We are thankful for our incredible guest speakers, Tom Banning from the Texas Academy of Family Physicians and Eduardo Sanchez, MD, MPH, FAAFP, from the American Heart Association, who came to engage us in thoughtful dialogue!

THI is grateful for the leadership and dedication of our board as we continue in our work to advance the health of all Texans. The future of public health starts with strong ideas, bold action, and aligned leadership, and we're excited for what’s ahead!

TMA President Jayesh “Jay” Shah, MD, continued his travels with a visit to Comal County, where he connected with physicians making a real difference in their community. Dr. Shah said it was “inspiring to be around such dedicated advocates for our profession and our patients.”
