🌟Intern Spotlight: Summer 2024 and 2025 Intern Cecile 🌟

We are so proud of Cecile, one of our incredible past interns, who just received her white coat at UTHealth San Antonio School of Dentistry! 🦷

Cecile first joined Austin Smiles as a Global Public Health Intern in Summer 2024, and returned in Summer 2025 as an Intern Lead. She played a key role in improving our Local Preventative Dental Care Day, helping design engaging oral health activities, and serving as Logistics Lead for the event’s planning.

Her experiences with Austin Smiles inspired her journey to dentistry, and she hopes to one day return as a dentist on our international medical missions.

Congratulations, Cecile, we can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make!

Our 4th Annual Back to School Bash was a huge success!
This year, we welcomed 100 attendees from 25 families and 56 kids, providing:

📚 60 school supply kits
🎁 Books & prizes
& other assistance to help families start the school year strong.

A heartfelt thank you to our main Back to School event sponsor, HEB Tournament of Champions H-E-B 💛, who helped us supply each family with back-to-school assistance and even brought the beloved H-E-B Buddy to join the fun!
