Today, we commemorate a significant milestone, the 100th birthday of Dorothy Knapik, a distinguished resident of HamptonWoods Nursing Center. Born on March 20, 1926, to Michael and Anna, immigrants from Ukraine, Dorothy spent her formative years in Tremont, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, alongside her two sisters and one brother. She attended Lincoln High School in Cleveland, where she met her future husband, Richard Knapik, with whom she had three sons, Richard, Gary, and Timothy. The family relocated to various parts of Ohio due to Richard's work with Kraft Foods, eventually settling in Boardman, Ohio, in 1950. For over 60 years, they resided in Applewood Acres. Dottie's exceptional homemaking skills and unwavering dedication to her family have been a cornerstone of their unity. HamptonWoods Nursing Center is honored to celebrate this significant milestone, to provide care for you and honor your remarkable legacy and family ties. We love you, Dottie and wish you a Happy 100th Birthday.
