I want to wish all the dads out there a very Happy Father’s Day!

My dad worked in law enforcement most of his life. After serving time in the US Army, he was a security guard for the local steel mills. After they closed, he took on a role as a police officer for Youngstown State University, then later became full time at the Youngstown Police Department, serving over 25 years.

I like to think my dedication to serve was guided by his strong commitment to help and defend others.

Sadly, he passed away nearly 8 years ago now, but I miss him and think about him every day.

If you are fortunate enough to still have your dad in your life, spend some time with him today and let him know how much you care!
