There is nothing better than good weather and baseball fun! Shepherd of the Valley Liberty Independent Living had a night out at the ballpark to watch the Mahoning Valley Scrappers get a win against the West Virginia Black Bears! They even got a special visit from everyone's favorite dog, Scrappy!

Saturday is the day to join us for a free community paper shredding event at Shepherd of the Valley Liberty!

We are teaming up with Geauga - Trumbull Solid Waste Management District to help you properly dispose of your old documents. Bring up to four (4) banker boxes of documents per vehicle to have shredded on-site. Please limit the contents of the recycling to PAPER ONLY.

This event is free and open to the public.

There's still time to support our Summer coat drive benefiting The Brightside Project! We will be collecting NEW (must have price tag attached) coats, hats, and mittens to help children and families in need stay warm this coming season. Your kindness today can bring warmth to someone’s tomorrow!

Donations will be accepted through this Thursday, September 4, 2025, and can be dropped off at our Boardman (7148 West Blvd., Boardman, OH 44512) and Poland (301 W. Western Reserve Rd., Poland, OH 44514) communities.

The summer of Second Wind Dreams continues as one of our Howland residents, Elaine Wallace, had a very special weekend! Elaine was surprised at her childhood home by her family for a family reunion cookout! Everyone enjoyed great food, shared stories and laughter, and spread love all day.
