Santa and Mrs. Claus stopped by Shepherd of the Valley communities this past week to make sure all of our residents are on the nice list! Thank you to Pastor Don Barnes and his wife, Laura, for spreading so much joy to our residents!

Some of our Independent Living residents at Shepherd of the Valley Liberty took a trip to Sawa Japanese Steakhouse for lunch. Little did one of our residents, Edna Bresnahan, know that we had something special planned as we surprised her for her 96th birthday!

As always, the onion volcano was a hit!

Our Santa Paws Pet Supply & Food Drive for the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County and New Lease on Life Rescue in Struthers end this Saturday, December 20!

We have been collecting items to help to ensure that no animals go without the care they need this Winter! High need items include wet and dry dog food (Purina and Pedigree are preferred), cat food, cat litter, blankets, treats, toys, timothy hay, bleach, liquid disinfectant, and newspaper.

Items can be dropped off at Shepherd of the Valley’s Liberty & Poland communities until December 20!

Last week, a few of our residents at Shepherd of the Valley Liberty were honored by the Nurse Honor Guard of Eastern Ohio during a Living Tribute Ceremony!

The Living Tribute Ceremony recognizes those individuals who dedicated their lives to the profession of nursing. The purpose of the organization is to show appreciation for the nurse and their professional journey.

Last week, Skilled Nursing residents at Shepherd of the Valley Liberty were joined by the National Honor Society students from McDonald Local Schools to spread holiday cheer with Christmas carols!
