We are looking for a few behavior technicians to join our team (huge + if you're already an RBT!). We are a small BCBA owned company. We offered guaranteed pay (no need to worry about inconsistent paychecks due to cancellations). We offer a great training program - we will pay for you to obtain your RBT certificate!

All hours are paid at the same rate (we do not pay you less for training hours).

You also are paid for weekly clinical / nonbillable meetings with your supervisor each week! Lots of opportunities for professional development and growth as well.

Are you being told that you need to contact someone in network with your insurance to obtain services? But when you call the in-network places, they are full and have a wait list? Then when you find a provider (like us) with openings they are not in network because your insurance has deemed themselves to be at network capacity for providers - meaning that they feel there is an adequate number of providers available to meet the need of their patients? Vicky Nguyen reports for NBC about ghost networks across the country!

As a provider - we have attempted to gain in-network status with some major healthcare companies but we have been told that they are network capacity for providers; but it appears they are filled with ghost providers. There is no reporting that is done to show how many providers they have vs. how many people are seeking services in any particular area to be able to see if there really is adequate network coverage.

After we figure out the WHY of the behavior with the functional behavior assessment - we can write the behavior intervention plan (BIP). The BIP looks at the function of the behavior and then gives the appropriate response based upon why the behavior is happening. For instance if the child is doing something to escape work - we can teach the child to ask for a break.

A Behavior Intervention Plan ensures that all those working or helping the child are responding in the same consistent way. This helps because consistency is key for behavior changes.

The Behavior Institute does not currently have a waitlist - this means that we can get your child in for services within 2 - 4 weeks.

All of our services are provided by either a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or a Registered Behavior Technician.

A Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) is an assessment where we look at WHY behaviors are happening. We strongly believe that ALL behaviors are a communication - they are telling us something. Whether that be - "I want that", "leave me alone" "look at me" or "I like this". Once we figure out why it's happening we can work towards teaching the appropriate communication to help them get that need met without the problem behavior (i.e. asking for a break rather than hitting someone).

At The Behavior Institute we provide Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS). This means that in order to receive our services you need to have a written order provided to us stating that you need our services.

May 1st kicks of Mental Health Awareness month. At The Behavior Institute - we recognize the toughness of this field. We support all our staff in creating the best working environment possible to help support them as they support others.

We have Mental Health Days available to staff - no questions asked; for those days that are tough.

We talk about self-care in every meeting and have check ins with staff about how we can best support them.
