With the sale of the office building and the new rumors flying in town, I just want to put the reminder out there: I have served as a therapist licensed to treat both mental health and substance use in that building for about 13 years offering individual, couples, family therapy, and EMDR for trauma. I also had the privilege of maintaining a Suboxone program with Dr. Porbin.
This last April, I relocated to the office spaces right across the street, 26 Campbell Street, where I continue to offer all the same services as mentioned above. I am still maintaining the Suboxone program with Dr. Avolio.
It's frustrating to read some of the posts on the Avella pages, where people are commenting without being aware of the services that have been available in town - for years. Even the folks moving into the old office seem to be unaware.
My purpose for this rant is to let you know that I am still in town offering the same services…. and will continue. If you hear anything different, please correct it. I’ll end with this: therapy is a professional service and you must be licensed to independently provide it. That is much different than passing out flyers and brochures with connections to resources.
