Here is a throwback post about one of my favorite songs that touches my soul everytime I listen to it. It became the sound track of my life, and as a therapist, I see how it can be the soundtrack for all of us at some point in our journey.

Fix You, by Cold Play. When you have a moment, listen to it. Close your eyes, and listen with your soul. It inspired me to focus my energy on fixing myself especially during my journey with cancer and rebuilding my self afterwards.

During my path, I learned to listen to my soul... I connected with it. It taught me how to speak to my mind and my body as well. Don't be afraid to face your challenges. Don't be afraid to live your life. Truly connect with yourself. Give it your all. ❤

Fear of abandonment is healed when you develop a sense of connection with yourself. A deeper sense of you being present with and for yourself. An internal embrace where you no longer abandon yourself through believing in the doubts and giving into negative words and behaviors.

You allow yourself to observe your moments of vulnerability without hurting yourself with criticism and shaming. You allow yourself to feel and you choose to hold yourself with regard.

As you become more connected with yourself, you become better able to connect with people that also want to hold you with regard. Safety gets created and nurtured. As we experience a safe relationship we continue to heal and grow in the power of connection.

The energy you feel of an emotion running through your body, doesn't have to be the energy that stays in your body. Learn how to "meet" whatever energy you feel with another energy that can elevate it.

For example, when you feel fear, acknowledge it. Breathe into it and tune in to courage. Let courage have a meeting with your fear. Let it be the energy that extends it's hand towards fear and says "I got you. We can do this. We can do hard things."

Don't leave your feelings alone. Allow a deeper meeting to take place inside of you.

Time is always an important element in everything in life. But when it comes to trauma, the experience becomes contained and held by the nervous system across time, unless we intentionally care for it and learn to de-activate and resolve it. The impact of trauma changes us emotionally, physically, and psychologically. When we leave ourselves untreated, we become disconnected from experiencing life fully. Take good care of yourself. 🤍🧠
