Dr. Samantha Carella, PsyD, ABPP, joined Dr. Stacey B. Jones, PhD, as a guest speaker at the Eleventh Judicial Circuit’s Family Court Services Lunch & Learn. They spoke to more than 85 family court professionals about how parental instability can affect a child’s growth and shared strategies to promote resilience and stability.

🌟 Meet Dr. Samantha DeVincent! 🌟

Dr. DeVincent brings a strengths-based, integrative lens to her work with children and adolescents, with advanced training in psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions. She has provided care in private practice, school-based, and community mental health settings across California and Florida, and has co-facilitated group programs like SURF and PEERS.

Her clinical interests include supporting neurodivergent and twice-exceptional youth, helping families build emotional resilience, and delivering developmentally informed, culturally responsive care.

Dr. DeVincent sees patients in person at our Aventura and Boca Raton offices, and also offers services via telehealth.

🌟 Meet Dr. Lizmar Burguera! 🌟

Dr. Burguera completed her predoctoral internship in Neuropsychology at the United States Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital in Miami, FL. She went on to complete two years of post-doctoral specialty training in Neuropsychology at The Watson Institute in Pittsburgh, PA, and later at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

She is a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the International Neuropsychological Society, and the American Psychological Association. Dr. Burguera is also trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), a parent-based treatment model for children and adolescents with anxiety, OCD, and related concerns.

Dr. Burguera currently provides services from the South Miami location, both in-office and via telehealth.
