Meet little Cheddar 🧡🐾 Dr. B’s most recent kitten rescue!

Cheddar was found with suspected pneumonia and a few other health complications, but he’s already showing us what a fighter he is. For now, our team is focused on nursing him back to health so he can grow stronger every day.

When the time is right, Cheddar will be looking for his forever home 🏡✨ but until then, we’d love for you to join us in sending him all the healing thoughts and well wishes. 💕

We’re so excited to introduce Houyam as the newest member of our VCA Aventura Animal Hospital family, and our newest CareClub member! 💙

Houyam was a little nervous at first, but quickly showed true courage and a big, brave heart. 🌟 We were so proud of her that we had to award her with an official Certificate of Bravery! 🏅🐾

🐾 Say hello to our newest Pet Care Specialist, Arnold! 🐾

Originally from Lima, Peru, Arnold has always had a love for animals. He has cared for guinea pigs and is passionate about wildlife. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Minor in Geographic Information Systems.

When he is not caring for pets, you can find him playing soccer ⚽ or volunteering at wildlife rehabilitation facilities. Arnold started at the South Florida Wildlife Center as a volunteer and intern and is excited to continue his volunteer work next at Pelican Harbor Seabird Station.

We are thrilled to have Arnold join our team! 🐶🐱.

🐾 Salem is the protective big brother, he loves playtime but is just as happy to snuggle up for cuddles.

🐾 Sugar Ray has a nurturing spirit. He enjoys playing but also cherishes his nap time just as much.

Born and raised in Hialeah, Florida, Shanyah is a proud pet mom to Hazie the Frenchie 🐶 and her two adorable cats, Prada and Makana 🐱🐱. Outside of the hospital, she’s all about anime marathons, true-crime documentaries, and growing her ever-impressive Funko Pop collection.

With a lifelong love for animals and a warm smile ready to greet you, Shanyah can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members! ✨
