☀️🏖Day 5 of Nursing home week! 🏖☀️

The dress up day was "Summer fun day" and staff had a blast with it! We are all ready to hit the beach! Our wonderful Administrator Brian cooked some hamburgers, hot dogs, and brats on the grill for all the staff and residents!

The favorite activity of the day was Employee Whack-a-Mole! Or Whack-a-Staff as our DON Susan would say! Those videos will be in the comments!

Today was pajama day for the staff! Some of the residents wanted to join in and wear their pajamas also!

The staff also enjoyed donuts from Mederi Home Health! (I forgot to take pictures of them)

We are all so thankful for the Home Health and hospice companies that bring goodies in for our staff and residents!

Today's dress up day was 80s/90s Rock, so to coincide with that the residents played "name that 80s tune" in the morning, and in the afternoon all the staff and residents got ice cream Sundaes!

Happy MDS Coordinator day to our very own Jessie Nordhaus!

Jessie got her Bachelor's degree in nursing from SWIC in 2022! She has been a vital part of our team since 2023. She is the daughter of our DON, Susan. She has a dog named Elliot, and a cat named Kitty. She spends her free time renovating her home in the country. She likes Mexican food, going to concerts and trips to the beach! She is currently on a trout fishing trip with her parents and we hope she has fun!

We had our Cinco de mayo party today! The residents got lots of good snacks, including home made queso, toquitos, mini tacos, chips and salsa, and some churro donuts!
Our Activity director Amber did some "taco trivia" and some Cinco de mayo bingo!
