Love this

Sometimes I think I was never made for crowds. I was made for quiet rooms and long talks with people who notice small things. I was made for people who hear what I'm not saying, people who don't get tired of my pauses, people who don't need a version of me that's easier to love. Not everyone is supposed to understand me. Some people are just meant to misread me so I can recognize the ones who never will.

The pandemic has affected the way we live in many ways. It has seeped into every aspect in ways no one could have predicted. Not the least of which is that of human contact. As humans, we have a natural need for contact with other humans. Meaningful contact and human touch activate our body’s ability to produce hormones that promote feelings of well-being and happiness. Furthermore, we carry emotional pain in our bodies that can manifest as a variety of pathologies. Sometimes, the physical pain we feel is the result of stored stress, anxiety, or depression. One example of this could be a tenderness in your pectoral muscles, or the very common tightness in the trapezius.
