In doing my family research last Thursday night, I found these photos of Dickey's Class of 57 Yearbook.... And of course, it was 3 am. But, I found these pictures of him in the yearbook along with these little yearbook drawing, and he is listed as the artist. I couldn't wait to call him to ask him about them. So, I'm blowing up his phone on Friday afternoon, determined to reach him. As usual, he didn't answer, but I thought, "if I keep calling he has to hear it ringing sometimes" So I kept calling. Little did I know that he couldn't get to the phone because he was either sick, or he was being transported to the hospital
He also authored a poem in the yearbook, but I have to find out which one as he didn't add his name as the author. I think Pat knows.
Dickey is a genius in so many aspects.
Anyway, these are some of the photos I found. There are little drawings of that elephant and donkey or little bear, and birds... all with a grad caps or diplomas throughout the yearbook. Cynthia.
