🚨 Important Tomorrow (HB 1102) 🚨

Hi everyone 💙
I wanted to share something important happening tomorrow at the Indiana Statehouse that directly affects families like ours.

Indiana House Bill 1102 (2026) — which deals with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism — is being heard in the Indiana Senate Education & Career Development Committee

🕜 Time: 1:30 PM
📍 Where: Indiana Statehouse (Senate side)
👥 Public attendance is allowed

Why this matters:
ABA therapy is a critical, evidence-based service for many autistic children — especially in early childhood. Families across Indiana are experiencing service interruptions or instability, even after therapy is medically authorized and already helping their child.

HB 1102 recognizes the importance of ABA, and this committee hearing is an opportunity to:
• show lawmakers how many families are impacted,
• support continuity of care for our kids,
• and advocate for stability so children aren’t forced to regress due to administrative issues.

You do not have to testify to attend. Simply being present matters more than people realize.

No Waitlist for ABA in Avon

Hello, all! My name is Stephanie and I’m the owner and BCBA at Foundations ABA! We are expanding into the suite next door and will be ready to welcome some new kiddos and families into our clinic around mid-March! I know finding the right ABA provider is a personal for parents and providing a more personal experience is what we are all about! We are small and locally owned and operated. 🥰 We work with kiddies between 2-7 years old and accept BCBS, Aetna, traditional Medicaid, and MHS.

As much as I hate closing the clinic because I know it affects our kiddos and families, there is just something magical about a snow day. ❄️ Most of us are forced to slow down our busy lives and “just be.”

I’m going to take advantage of the peace and do our payroll while listening to calming jazz in front of my fireplace, with my favorite winter candle lit, sipping hot chocolate, and cuddling with my pup.

I wish a peaceful snow day to all my families and staff. Stay safe and warm!

I don’t know if I find it…interesting? Ironic maybe?…but “back in my day” we used to punish kids who engaged in self-stimulatory (stimming) behavior at the clinic I worked at. Now, 15 years later, and as a BCBA and clinic owner, I made a SENSORY ROOM for our kiddos to take their stimming pleasure up a notch! Because their stimming makes them happy and (selfishly) brings me joy.

So I guess the emotions I’m really feeling is sad that those days happened but grateful that the field of ABA is making strides to better itself and the treatment we provide our kiddos.
