This week we threw a retirement paw-ty for the beautiful Winston who visited our residents every week for years. We thank who brought such joy to our facility with Wynston. Winston is loved by all of us and we will miss him and Anita we wish Wynston the happiest of retirements!! 🐕🐶❤️

Today we celebrate the vital work of podiatrists everywhere — and especially Dr. Stan Rutstein, DPM, who has been caring for our residents (and those at our sister facility, West Hartford Health & Rehabilitation Center) for decades. His dedication to keeping our residents on their feet 🦶💪 continues a family legacy, as his father served our facilities before him.

We’re excited to introduce Dr. Brian Brady, our new staff physiatrist! He will be supporting both Avon Health Center and our sister facility, West Hartford Health & Rehabilitation Center, where he’ll be seeing residents as part of their care team.

This week, we’re excited to introduce Dr. Brian Brady, our new staff physiatrist!

Dr. Brady joins us from American Physiatry and will be working closely with our team as a consulting physician. A physiatrist is a medical doctor who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, focusing on helping people improve mobility, function, and quality of life after illness, injury, or with chronic conditions.

He will be supporting both West Hartford Health & Rehabilitation Center and our sister facility, Avon Health Center, where he’ll be seeing residents as part of their care team.

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Brady to our communities and look forward to the positive impact he’ll bring to our rehab and long-term care programs. 💙

Join us this Saturday, 11/23 from 10 am to 3 pm for our annual Holiday Craft Fair!! Lots of great items that would be perfect as holiday gifts! Over 20 vendors, Granny's Attic and Souvlaki Greek Food Truck! The fair will be held in our lower level dining room and there is ample parking at the rear of the building. Please join us for a fun-filled day and get started on your holiday shopping early this year!
