🧔 Weekly Self-Care Tip 🧔

Connection matters.
Pictured here are two of our Care to Change care team members, Leah and Grace, sharing a moment of connection. It’s something we all need more of.

We are created for relationship. Even brief, genuine connections can help regulate our nervous systems, increase hope, and remind us that we don’t have to carry things alone.

This weekend, try one small step toward connection:
🧔Check in with someone you trust
🧔Offer encouragement
🧔Be fully present, even for a moment

Healing often happens in the presence of safe people.

Faithful parenting doesn’t always look polished.
Sometimes it looks like showing up tired.
Sometimes it looks like setting boundaries.
Sometimes it looks like resting, repairing, or starting again.

Every season asks something different and faith meets us in each one.

You don’t have to parent perfectly to parent faithfully. 🧔
You just have to keep taking the next right step.

Take a step. Reach out. Find hope.

šŸŽ™ļø New Podcast Episode 🧔

Parenting young adults can feel like a constant dance between letting go and staying connected. In this new episode, we talk about how parenting changes in this season, why connection matters more than control, and how to stay emotionally present without overstepping.

If you’re navigating the tender mix of pride, grief, and growth that comes with launching your young adult, this conversation is for you.

Parenting young adults is one of the most tender and complex seasons of family life. In this episode, April BordeauĀ is joined by returning guest Jean Crane to explore how parents can navigate the tension between letting go and staying connect...

Feelings are great information telling us what is happening in our hearts. Why does that matter? Because the best way to live in wholeness is by giving ourselves permission to feel all the feels and then accepting them for what they are.

When feelings feel too big, or too difficult, reach out to a trusted other for empathy, compassion, validation and support.

Interested in knowing more? Want space to sort all the feels out? Does this language sound confusing? Reach out to us. We have counselors, therapists, and coaches who are all trained in identifying, sorting through, supporting, and developing plans that embrace this important part of who you are. And you are so worth it! 🧔

Sometimes progress isn’t loud or fast. Sometimes it’s quietly focused and faithful. 🧔

On the days you feel strong, you may soar. On the days you don’t, just move. Running, walking, crawling… every step forward counts.

Healing, growth, and change are not about perfection; they’re about persistence. Keep going in the way your body, heart, and spirit allow today. That is enough.

Not sure what the hype is about 2016, but we’re here to share our 2016. 🧔

That was the year we officially began seeing families. The year we reimagined and reconstructed our main office, intentionally designing every sight, sound, and even scent to support the healing process.

That moment marked the beginning of something sacred. And now, literally thousands of families later, we remain honored to walk alongside stories of courage, restoration, and change.

2016 wasn’t just a year for us.
It was the start of a calling. 🧔

In a world that often rushes to respond, we are invited to pause.

Listening with intention creates space for understanding. Speaking thoughtfully builds trust. Slowing our anger protects connection.

This is sacred work, especially in our relationships, our families, and our healing journeys. 🧔

Weekly Self-Care Tip 🧔

Self-care isn’t about doing more or pushing harder. It’s about learning when to pause, rest, and respond with intention.

True strength looks like slowing your breathing. Choosing patience over reaction. Caring for your inner world so your outer world doesn’t run the show.

This week, your self-care might be:
🧔Taking a moment before responding
🧔Setting a gentle boundary
🧔Asking for support instead of powering through

If caring for yourself feels unfamiliar, overwhelming, or long overdue, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Self-care is a skill and it’s one we help people practice every day.

At Care to Change, we provide a space to restore balance, build emotional strength, and learn sustainable ways to care for yourself and your relationships.

Self-care today shapes the influence you carry tomorrow.

If you’re ready to take the next step, we invite you to schedule your PREPARE/ENRICH appointment today. We can’t wait to walk alongside you as they put this training into practice.

Congratulations again on this achievement. We’re grateful to have this available for our Care to Change community. 🧔

Ever feel like you should have it together by now? Like if you were really growing, you wouldn’t need to start over… again.

But life disrupts us. Old patterns resurface. Energy dips. Hope feels delayed.

That doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re human.

So here’s your permission slip: reset.
Pause. Breathe. Begin again.

And when life knocks you off rhythm tomorrow, or next week, reset again.

Resetting isn’t quitting.
It’s choosing healing over shame.
Progress over perfection.
Compassion over criticism.

You’re allowed to start fresh today.
Not just once - but as many times as it takes. 🧔
