It’s that time of year again! Help La Loma bring holiday cheer to some of Arizona’s most vulnerable children. Arizona currently has over 10,000 children in out-of-home care. La Loma has started collecting Toy and clothing donations for these Arizona’s Foster children for the Holiday season.

Bring your NEW unwrapped toys, books, or clothing items for all ages to the office starting now until 5:30pm on December 11th.

La Loma would like to make our patients aware of a phishing scam that has come to our attention. Recently we have been informed that someone has been contacting people using a spoofed phone number. The call appears to come from our office, and may even be labeled as our office or one of our doctors on your caller id. However, the call is from a scammer attempting to get personal information. From what we have gathered, the calls are random and do not appear to be targeted to only La Loma Patients. People who are not and have never been patients at our office are also receiving these calls. Of the calls we have been made aware of, the scammer states that the patient's Medicare ID number has changed, and then proceeds to ask for personal information. If you receive a call that appears to be from our office asking for personal information, we advise that you hang up, and call our office directly before giving any information. At this time, it appears that only people over the age of 65 have been targeted, however, we advise that all patients remain diligent and protect their personal information from incoming callers. We have reported these cases to Medicare, Medicare ACO, as well as the US Department of Human and Health Services Office of the Inspector General. If you believe you have been a victim of one of these phishing attempts, we advise that you contact Medicare to have a new ID number issued, and submit a complaint to the Inspector Generals office using this link https://oig.hhs.gov/fraud/report-fraud/ .

Today we received a thank you card from Arizona's Department of Child Services with the following card and pin attached. The card was signed by the hard working staff who work for Arizona's Foster Youth every single day. La Loma wants to thank each and every person who donated to our Toy Drive this year and every year. You have all made a difference in an Arizona child's life.
