🎙️ A new conversation is coming to Metabolically Speaking, and this one takes us from scientific discovery to everyday life with PKU.

This month, we’re honored to welcome Dr. Denise Ney and David Paolella to the mic. For more than 40 years, the nutritional standard of care for PKU remained largely the same. Then came glycomacropeptide, better known as GMP, the first fundamentally new protein source developed specifically for PKU medical foods in decades.

At 11 years old, Norah is navigating early adolescence while living with PKU, balancing school, friendships, jazz band, and the very real desire to simply fit in. With her mom by her side, she’s learning how to manage her condition, build independence, and find her voice in a world that doesn’t always understand what PKU looks like day to day.
