💜 From Gym Member to Gym Legend: Joanne, You’ve Left a Legacy 💪

Some people join a gym.
Others change the energy of it entirely.
That was Joanne.

After three incredible years of training with us, Joanne and her family are off to a new adventure in parts unknown, New Hampshire — but her impact here will never leave.

Joanne didn’t just show up…
She showed us what it means to be relentlessly dedicated.
She trained five days a week, no matter what.
No excuses. No shortcuts. Just pure heart and hustle.

There’s something powerful about watching someone transform right in front of your eyes.
Joanne came in committed, but she left unstoppable. 💥
She built muscle. She built strength.
But even more importantly — she built a mindset that inspired everyone in our gym.

Whether it was cheering someone on during their last set, pushing herself when no one was watching, or simply walking in with that quiet fire that said, “Let’s work”…
Joanne led by example.

And for the women in our community especially — career-driven parents, juggling it all — Joanne was living proof that you can take back control of your body, your strength, and your confidence. You just need a system, a tribe, and the will to rise.

Her kids finished high school. Her chapter here is complete.
But what she showed us?
That’s lasting.

We’ll miss the workouts.
We’ll miss the laughs.
But we’ll never stop being grateful for the mark she made on our gym family.

Joanne, thank you.
You’ve set a new standard.
You didn’t just get results.
You raised the bar for what it looks like to be all in.

Most people don’t know why I became a strength coach specializing in muscle building...

The truth is, I know what it’s like to feel lost in my fitness journey and to wonder if things will ever change.

I didn’t just wake up one day with all the answers — it has taken time, learning, and lots of trial and error.

I remember years ago when I was struggling to find a balance between training clients all day long, prepping all my meals, strength training 4-5 times per week and being present for my family.

I didn’t recognize myself when I looked in the mirror anymore.

Still, even though I wanted to change… I couldn’t stick to anything for longer than a few weeks. I’d always let the old habits win because I was just too darn tired.

It was only when I found a coach who really understood me that things started to shift.

Now, I get to help people do the same.

If you see yourself in my story, remember that it’s never too late to make a change. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been heading down the ‘wrong’ path for years — you can always decide that TODAY is a fresh start.

The issue isn’t realizing you need a change…

It’s thinking that sticking to the same routine will keep delivering results.

If your goal is building a stronger athletic body, small adjustments can lead to big improvements over time.

That means paying attention to what your body is telling you and making changes when needed — without feeling like you have to overhaul everything at once.

Because in the long run?

It’s those little tweaks that create lasting results.

Take this as your sign to listen to your body and make the changes that will support your progress!

Let’s take the pressure off 👇

If you want to build a stronger body while improving your mobility, tracking your daily progress can actually cause unnecessary stress and confusion…

Especially this time of year when you might be busier than usual!

Instead, consider tracking your progress WEEKLY.

Ask yourself questions like:

How do I feel this week?
What’s the trend in my results?
What small wins did I accomplish this week that I might have overlooked?

This way, you get a clearer idea of your actual progress.

You can still keep a record of each day, but view your progress from a wider window.

I know it seems like tracking daily will get you to where you want to be faster…

But if it’s causing you stress, it may actually slow you down.

🔥Let’s talk about keeping the promises you make to yourself…

If you’re trying to stay consistent with your nutrition and work on building strength, the key isn’t in finding the perfect plan…

It’s showing up and doing it.

That might mean:

✅Blocking off time on your calendar so no one can book you for a call when you’ve planned to do a workout

✅Sticking to your meal plan when you’d rather go out to eat

✅Or going to sleep by 10 instead of scrolling because you promised yourself you’d stick to a certain bedtime

Not only will you get closer to your goals…

But you’ll start to feel more confident and build more trust with yourself.

Think about it…

Isn’t it easier to get to the gym when you already feel good?

One of the best ways to do that is to start and end your day with intention.

Instead of letting the day decide how it’s going to go…

YOU can decide how it’s going to go.

At the end of the day, you can reflect and keep improving!

What does this mean when it comes to building a lean strong body all year long?

It means that you don’t need drastic measures to get results, but you DO need to show up every day with small, steady actions.

Like choosing to add more whole food proteins like salmon and steak over relying on processed snacks for energy...

Or getting a good night’s sleep over staying up late watching Netflix.

Over time, these small actions build up…

And before you know it, you’re feeling more energized, less bloated, and more in control of your health.

That’s how you build a lean muscular body and balanced lifestyle without going to extremes.

It’s a lifestyle. Not a quick fix.

My Story

Hi, my name is Kyle Ross and I created Ross Fitness - Out of the Box Training. With the rise of large group classes like boot camps and CrossFit many were getting hurt and ignored because of a lack of personal coaching. I opened my doors to put “Personal” back into personal training.

I saw the need to create a family like culture in my gym and to deeply care about every single person that walked through the door.

See, the big reason for results is Consistency and my clients keep coming because we have FUN! In fact, it’s one of our biggest Core Values! Don’t get me wrong because we work hard but we definitely laugh a lot!
