As part of Customer Appreciation Week, the Bad Axe team took time to remember customers who are no longer with us. Each heart represents someone that we've been honored to care for in the last few months. We are so grateful for the trust that our patients and families place in us. A family member told our nurse, "I will never forget you for the rest of my life." It is our hope that every patient and family member realizes that WE will never forget any of them either - every heart we touch sticks with us, we promise. ❤️

We have THE BEST patients and families! During a nursing visit the daughter of a patient asked if their nurse had eaten yet today (and she admitted that she hadn't). Our nurse was sent out the door with these DELICIOUS snack sticks to keep her going. 💙 This is why we do Customer Appreciation Week! And here's a peek at the goodies we are spoiling people with today!😍

It's CUSTOMER APPRECIATION WEEK at Heartland Hospice!!! We started the week by appreciating our "internal customers" - our amazing staff! A delicious breakfast provided by Peppermill in Bad Axe, prizes, and special treat bags for everyone. Your Heartland Bad Axe Team is so incredibly special and they serve from their hearts. Speaking of heart - our theme this week is "Hospice is for EVERY HEART in the room" - we care for everyone involved in the journey, not just the patient; children, spouses, family friends, and so on. Our team believes in the power of coming together. To ensure we accomplished that goal this week, we partnered with a local assisted living facility for resident Mini-Golf using handmade obstacles! Check out the one Meggen and Jamie made for the course! We had so much fun watching the residents and their families - the competition was fierce!
