Sagebrush Spotlight!

This week we’re celebrating Cody and his incredible milestone of 2 years in recovery.

Cody was one of the very first individuals I had the privilege of working with—back when Sagebrush was still just a dream taking shape. I met him at Sobriety House during a time when he was understandably guarded, hurting, and trying to find his footing.

To see where he is today is nothing short of inspiring.

Cody is now working, in school for graphic design, and truly building a life that reflects his strengths, creativity, and determination. He’s no longer on the outside looking in—he’s part of his community, part of the recovery world, and showing up fully as himself.

His journey is a powerful reminder that recovery is real, that change is possible, and that with the right support, people can rediscover who they are and where they belong.

We are so proud of you, Cody. Thank you for being part of Sagebrush from the very beginning and for continuing to inspire everyone around you. 💪

Valley Hope of Parker recently welcomed Stephen and Carrie Pernice, owners of Sagebrush Recovery in Colorado, for a Lunch & Learn with our case managers and admissions team. They shared their mission of providing trauma-informed, person-centered care rooted in connection, along with the clinical and peer recovery support services they offer.

Stephen is also a Parker Valley Hope alumnus, making the visit especially meaningful. It’s inspiring to see recovery come full circle—once a patient here, he now uses his lived experience to help others find their path to healing.

Our Peer Recovery Coaching program is offered in partnership with Sagebrush Recovery, connecting you with certified peers who bring lived experience and practical tools.

Whether you are sober curious, looking to cut back, or navigating recovery, all stages are welcome. This is a free service with phone, virtual, and in person options.

Soaring above the Rocky Mountains this weekend — endless waves of snow-capped peaks stretching toward the horizon, each one a reminder of both strength and serenity. As I looked down, the tiny towns nestled in the valleys below told their own stories — of resilience, recovery, and community.

Just like these mountains, healing doesn’t happen all at once. It’s built, layer by layer, moment by moment, day by day. Here’s to focusing on the small places, the quiet moments, and the steady climb — because that’s where real recovery takes root.
