I really appreciate everyone who visits my Help2*SupportPD I am here to help ones who live with PD as well as caregivers or if you have a friend or loved one with Pd. If you have questions I will answer to the best of my ability.
My name is Linda and this is my story… Since I was 16 years old and in high school I was at times made fun of for being clumsy, not doing things fast enough and told that I was way too slow at things I did.
Now on to when I was 23, I developed a tremor in my left hand. Was still really clumsy, tripping over my own two feet, I was really not aware that I wasn’t even at times picking my feet up more of a shuffle on my left side, along with other symptoms I was unaware of. I never thought anything about it until others started noticing.
Now on to 30 years old…. W hold working one day I was a cashier and took a man’s order and during transition of counting his change back to him, my hands just stopped working and we’re so stiff I clinched the money and could move for nothing, my boss noticed and helped me out. And that’s when I realize somethings going on. And 2 years later after a number of doctors was diagnosed with Young onset Parkinson’s disease at age 32.
I am know 52 and have had DBS surgery on both sides of my brain which gave me back a really blessed life and yes I do still have to take meds daily but very thankful for having them. I have always tried my best to Stay Strong, but there are days that I am not! I do still have not so good days but hey… we all have those! And there’s always tomorrow! But the way I look at it is this, Life is short,Live Everyday, to do the best you can! Never look down at anyone because we’re all going through something!
Love as you would want to be Loved!
