Truth has the power to right wrongs and end sorrows. It is fierce in its demands and magnanimous in its offerings. It invites us to places we rarely frequent and where we seldom know what the outcome will be.

Truth (‘satya’) demands integrity to life and to our own self that is more than not telling a simple lie.

When we are real rather than nice, when we choose self-expression over self-indulgence, when we choose growth over the need to belong, and when we choose fluidity over rigidity, we begin to understand the deeper dynamics of truthfulness, and we begin to taste the freedom and goodness of this jewel.

Soul Activism: Tending Anger, Befriending Grief, and Deepening Connection in Challenging Times with Carol Ann Davidson

Our activism is directly connected to our heart’s ability to respond to the world. A congested heart, one burdened with unexpressed sorrow, cannot stay open to the world and, consequently, cannot be fully available for the healing work so needed at this time. -Francis Weller, The Wild Edge of Sorrow

From Carol Ann: “I began this work after the election last fall. I had a lot of grief. I questioned how I could emotionally weather the next four years. I thought I could either really limit my news intake which felt like putting my head in the sand and didn't feel like a responsible choice (although discerning intake certainly is necessary.) Or I could use my tools to stay engaged, maintain equanimity and connection. These practices have been my path to minimize overwhelm and negative impact to my own well being under the current political circumstances.”

Three-Part Series on Thursdays:
Oct. 23, Oct. 30 & Nov. 6
7-8:30pm (In Studio)

Cost: $80 for 3-week series

Fall Ayurvedic Community Cleanse with Sarah Kruse

Ayurveda views seasonal cleansing as a necessary practice for maintaining great health and preventing illness. Due to the pace of modern life, our environment and the foods we eat, we accumulate toxins, or ama, as it is referred to in Ayurveda, in our bodies and minds. The Ayurvedic system of healing uses a specific cleansing program that effectively removes accumulated toxins, reverses effects of stress, increases energy and mental clarity and restores your natural state of balance.

In this group cleanse, you will attend 3 classes, receive a detailed guide and shopping list, and get the support of Sarah and the community.

Please Note: Upon registration, you will be able to access the shopping list for the cleanse so that you can order all supplies in time for the cleanse start date of Oct 21, 2025.

Balance does not look a certain way because it isn't a set standard to impose upon ourselves; it's not something we can plan or schedule. Balance instead comes from listening to the guidance and wisdom of the inner voice. Balance will look different in each of us and even different in each of us at different times.

To be in tune with ourselves, we must get
quiet and listen and then heed this inner voice. This voice does not push or bombard or make promises. This inner wisdom simply knows what we need to be vital, healthy, and in deep harmony.

Many of us have sat in funeral homes or churches listening to eulogies where the speaker mispronounces names, gets facts wrong, or clearly never knew the deceased. We lose connection to our loved one, hearing a story we don’t recognize, instead of the adventures, strengths, and memories we shared. We leave feeling detached, thinking “I could have done better...”

First person eulogies give us the gift of writing our own story. The eulogy might begin, “I loved peonies, baking with my grandkids, and riding my vespa” or “I worked hard at my career, but reflecting on my life, I most enjoyed weekends at the cabin with family” or “I’m sad to end this journey and want to share my values with the family I’m leaving behind.”

By entering the sacred space of deep contemplation, we take stock, define our values, and create a beautiful story for loved ones to receive. It becomes a heartfelt sharing of what’s most sacred to us.

🧡 September exploration: Ahimsa (nonviolence)

Courage is found by facing our fears—the small ones, the fat ones, the embarrassing ones, and the really big, scary ones. To live the fullness that our own life is inviting us into, we often have to let ourselves be afraid and do it anyway. If we keep ourselves safe, how will our courage grow?

One of the reasons for Gandhi's unmatched power was that he continued to stay with life; he didn't run when life got too confusing or difficult. He stayed and learned from the moment, and in the process he became a skillful leader no one could match and a force that no one could stop. For Gandhi, fear became a stimulus to develop his courage.
