EXCELLENCE IN TREATMENT: Memorial Hospital and Manor has been officially designated as a Remote Treatment Stroke Center by the Georgia Department of Public Health’s Office of EMS and Trauma. The department commended the hospital on the “commitment to excellence in acute stroke care” being provided by the facility.

This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and teamwork of every staff member involved in stroke care. From rapid assessment to coordinated treatment, our team is committed to providing the safest, fastest, and highest-quality care for our community.
When it comes to stroke, time is tissue. If your friend or loved one is showing any signs of stroke, get them to the Emergency Room immediately.
Know the signs and symptoms of stroke:
• Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm, or leg—especially on one side
• Sudden confusion, trouble speaking, or difficulty understanding speech
• Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
• Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, or loss of balance
• Sudden severe headache with no known cause

Why Choose the HEART Tax Credit?
Georgia is the only state that empowers its residents to transform tax payments into direct support for rural healthcare. HEART contributions have significantly impacted Memorial Hospital and Manor, enabling us to upgrades facilities, technology, and equipment. Your support has strengthened our ability to deliver critical services to our community and boost local healthcare resources. This program is a gift to our community, and your involvement will help it reach its full potential, making you are our most important group of participants.

Now is the Time to Contribute:
Individual taxpayers may make unlimited contributions to eligible rural hospitals for a corresponding 100% Georgia income tax credit. C Corporation, Trust, or Pass-Through Entity choosing to pay tax at the entity level can contribute up to 75% of annual Georgia tax liability.
• Did you know? If you or your spouse is an owner of a Pass-Through Entity choosing to pay tax at the entity level, you are eligible to contribute twice to Georgia HEART: Once as a Pass-Through Entity choosing to pay tax at the entity level, as well as at the individual level.

Please help us officially congratulate Carrie Heard, FNP-C, for joining us as a provider at Memorial Pediatrics! Carrie has worked with us for 5.5 years in our Emergency Department, selflessly serving our community while working on her Nurse Practitioner Certificate. Carrie said, "I am so excited to join Memorial Pediatrics and continue to serve the Bainbridge community by treating the younger population!"
We love seeing our team members grow in both education and passion to progress in their fields! Congrats Carrie!!
