Decatur County Band Program

Decatur County Band Program The Pride of Decatur County! The Bearcat Band proudly performs at every Friday night football game and practices with every opportunity to be the best!

We value every student and every parent that takes the time to contribute to the band whether it be with membership, helping at practices and games, or any other contribution. Our directors are James Sewell, Director of Bands; Will Parker, Assistant director and Director of 8th Grade Band ; and Brad Moore, 6th and 7th Grade Director. We also have the help of Jo Ann Moore and Lark Holly as our dance line and color guard sponsors.

Still plenty of time to get signed up, but don’t wait! I promise it is going to be a blast!

Our goal is to fill up the field with past, present, and future pride of Decatur county members!! Let’s make this night a special night and one to remember!!!

We would like to officially welcome Mr. Rod Harden to our band staff. He will be the Band Director at Bainbridge Middle School and will also assist with the bands at Bainbridge High School. His experience and passion for teaching will be a great asset to Bainbridge Middle School, our band program and our band staff. Welcome, Mr. Harden, to the Pride of Decatur County!

Hutto Elementary is gonna be in great hands! Congratulations Sgt. Morehouse!

Please join us in welcoming Scott Morehouse as the new Principal of Hutto Elementary School! While this is a new role, Mr. Morehouse is no stranger to the Bearcat Family—he has been serving as the CTAE Director and Assistant Principal at Bainbridge High School.

He will be greatly missed at BHS, but we are excited to see the leadership and innovation he will bring to Hutto. Here's to new beginnings and continued excellence!
