So fast-forward to 2022, and I recently began doing comedy open mics. Stand up is something I've always wanted to try but never had the guts to. And within the first month of doing open mics, I was offered my first gig! And I turned it down!!! Actually, I pulled out after accepting, which is worse. And I gave everyone every excuse in the book except the real one: I suddenly freaked out about the possibility that I was still trying to be a rock star and what that meant regarding my delusions. Because the truth is that they never really went away; they've just... faded...

See, I'm less of a scary, bugs-are-crawling-underneath-my-skin sort of schizophrenic and more of a friendly, happy, Beautiful Mind sort of schizophrenic.
