Edgar lost part of his hand due to an accident in 2022. "I sat in my house for months thinking my family and friends would reject me. I saw no future. It was hard." But, thanks to his family and friends, he saw that they would not give up on him, and he needed not to give up. Today, our upper limb specialist, Chris Meier, CPO, delivered Edgar's prosthetic hand, and Edgar celebrated with his kids at the playground where he could care for them and get back to fun play. Thank you for the pictures, Edgar. We are so excited for you! Össur

We were honored to assist Fabrizio with a new prosthetic leg for surfing. Fabrizio came in to our Channel Islands O&P office in Ventura so he could be close to the surf and get back to Huntington Beach for his competition. Check out the story the Ventura County Star did on Fabrizio. Keep ripping Fabrizio!!

Fabrizio Passetti, an amputee surfer from Italy, made a stop in Ventura last week for a new prosthetic leg before a competition in Huntington Beach.

Perla is such a bundle of fun energy and always makes us laugh. Although she has not been an amputee for very long, she is improving each day on her gait and even has time to flex on the ramp! 😀

Say hi to Fabrizio Passetti. He is a professional para surfer for and from Italy but resides in Bali, Indonesia. He is representing Italy at the upcomming ISA World Surf Championship in Huntington Beach starting Nov 5-12. He flew in this weekend to begin the process of getting a new leg for the competition . Because his limb is extremely short his leg is a complicated build. Especially for the amount of flexibility needed for surfing! We’ll be posting updates and surf pics over the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
