Independence Through GRACE At GRACE, we believe every person is a child of GOD who deserves to be valued, accepted and respected.

We help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities grow in independence by providing faith-based programs that empower participants to see themselves as valuable contributors to their community. Adults who participate in our faith-based enrichment program are offered a variety of activities that suit their personal interests. Session activities are designed to enhance social skills, spiritual depth and understanding, physical mobility and creative talents. Our staff works to discover each person’s strengths, with the ultimate goal of assisting our participants in reaching their maximum potential while they gain confidence in their abilities.

Learning life skills in GRACE wouldn't be possible without the guidance and help from our staff and volunteers. Staff and volunteers teach our participants about countries, cultures, and new languages. From our loving team, participants learn everyday skills like reading, math, telling time, and healthy eating!

Meet Matthew, Matt Matt, and Cameron who all love sports and being a team player. They always have fun participating in any exercise we do for gym, whether it's a prayer walk, basketball, Zumba, or just getting up to move our bodies. Gym at ITG is an opportunity for all of our participants to move around and stay active through fun activities. Sometimes we do sports in a neighboring gym, prayer walks, and we have been loving zumba 💪 🎶 We know it's important to keep our bodies active to stay healthy even if it's something as simple as going for a walk 😊

When our participants take part in arts and crafts at GRACE, they're doing much more than creating beautiful artwork or enjoying a fun activity. Through their creative expression, they strengthen cognitive skills by following multi-step instructions and solving creative problems, while developing fine motor skills through cutting, gluing, painting, and manipulating materials. We break complex projects into manageable steps so everyone can participate meaningfully, regardless of their skill level. Since there's no single 'right way' to approach art, each participant's unique personality, preferences, and talents shine through in every piece they create. Their artwork becomes a window into who they are—revealing their individual perspectives and the special strengths that make each person remarkable🎨🖌️

In GRACE, music isn't just playing instruments and singing—it's being taught how to explore new instruments and challenge our minds, it's being so comfortable with ourselves to let go and be silly, it's about worshiping God and lifting our voices to celebrate all He does for us, it's about building community through harmony and discovering the gifts He's placed within each of us (and embracing those talents!). Music isn't just music at GRACE, it's a pathway to praise, growth, and connection that's not just between us and God, but with one another 🎵 ❤️
