There is some great info in this article! Just because you “like” your OB/GYN, does not mean they are a good doctor! Just because they convinced you they “saved your baby’s life” (after doing risky, and unnecessary interventions that put your baby in danger in the first place, does not make them a good doctor! We have three OB’s in our community in major hot water right now. They were all putting women and babies at risk. Yet all three have patients who “loved them”. This article is written by an OB by the way.

Excellent graphic! Over 40 years ago, I had a wonderful family doctor who was definitely supportive. His late wife had nursed (long term) all 8 of their children!

How long should you stay? What is helpful, and what isn't? Here are some tips to help you navigate this exciting time.
Don't assume they are available. Being at home doesn't mean that they are free. Call or text to make sure your visit isn't a burden.
Don't come empty-handed. Food doesn't have to be homemade but should be nutritious and easy to eat with one hand.
Wash your hands when you arrive.
Don't visit if you are sick, recovering, or "coming down with something."
Instead of asking to hold the baby, help around the house including doing the dishes, switching the laundry, refilling a water bottle, or bringing food to a couch-bound parent.
Don't stay too long. Take your cues from the parents, but don't stay longer than 15 minutes.]
