Good lighting makes a big difference. đź’ˇ

Adjusting the lighting in your home can greatly improve visibility and reduce eye strain for individuals with low vision. Simple changes — like using adjustable lamps, reducing glare, and increasing task lighting — can help make everyday activities safer and easier.

Small adjustments can create a brighter, more accessible space. ✨

Living well with low vision is possible. đź’™

With the right assistive tools, rehabilitation, training, and community support, individuals with low vision continue to live independently, work, and pursue the hobbies they love.

Support groups and vision specialists play a powerful role in building confidence and providing practical solutions.

The Greater Bakersfield Council of the Blind (GBCB) is a wonderful local resource and support group for individuals living with low vision. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone — community makes a difference.
