💙💛 Parent & Me (Ages 0–5) – Join Us This Friday!

If you’ve been thinking about coming but haven’t yet—this is your sign. You are so welcome here.

Our Parent & Me group is a relaxed, supportive space for parents and caregivers of children ages 0–5 with Down syndrome. Whether this is your first time or you’ve been before, we’d love to have you join us.

How to find us:
We meet in the nursery area at New Life Church (near the Español and Youth buildings—not the main sanctuary). You can park in front of the building that says “Español,” and look for the KDSN sign.

No pressure, no expectations—just connection, conversation, and a space where you don’t have to do this alone.

On March 21, Kern Down Syndrome Network is bringing our community together to celebrate inclusion, ability, and the incredible individuals with Down syndrome who make our community stronger every day.

Here are a few ways you can celebrate with us:

🍽 Restaurant Takeover at Legends
Join us all day at Legends Event Center for our World Down Syndrome Day restaurant takeover. Come enjoy great food, connect with our community, and celebrate together.

🏒 WDSD at the Bakersfield Condors
We’re heading to the Condors game for a special “Puck Drops for a Purpose” celebration. Free tickets are available for families caring for a loved one with Down syndrome (registration required-link in bio).

✨ Once Upon a Runway
Our annual fashion show, Embracing the Beauty of Down Syndrome, celebrates the confidence, beauty, and individuality of our models with Down syndrome.

📚 Educator Resources
Teachers and schools can visit our website to access free classroom activities, morning announcements, and resources to help students learn about Down syndrome and celebrate inclusion.

Little Hands, Big Creativity 🎨

Join us this Friday, March 6, 2026 from 10:30am–12pm at Lines and Living Art Studio for our 0–5 Parent & Me group!

We’ll enjoy a playful, interactive art session with taste-safe materials — perfect for little ones. Parents are encouraged to create alongside their little one.

This group is designed to support families in our Down syndrome community during the early years (ages 0–5). Siblings are always welcome to join in the fun.
