May is mental health awareness month! Did you know by ensuring mothers and fathers have access to quality perinatal mental health resources and support, you can reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect. Beth’s House would able to help parents with little to no resources find a safe place to heal and minimize negative outcomes.

We know raising funds is only one part of Beth’s House and it won’t be easy! But we do know every day we are missing out on helping a child and parent stay safe.

“For example, in a study of 240 families who received crisis child care in rural Iowa counties, there was a significant decrease in the reported incidence of child maltreatment in the rural counties with crisis child care programs compared with counties that did not offer crisis care programs (Cowen, 1998)”.
