Healthy kidneys do more than filter waste. They help control blood pressure and support red blood cell production. For women (and men) on dialysis, these functions need extra attention.
The U.S. Office on Women's Health leads National Women's Health Week every May, focusing on health needs at every stage of life. This year's observance runs May 10-16 and includes resources on prevention and whole-person health for women.

This Mother's Day, we are thinking about the mothers in our care who manage dialysis alongside everything else they carry, the caregivers and family members who show up for moms living with kidney disease, and the patients spending the weekend honoring a mom who is no longer with us.
To every one of them, thank you for being part of the families we are honored to care for.
Happy Mother's Day weekend.

"The staff is the most caring group of professional I have ever been treated by. They pay attention to each of their patients and consistently monitor their treatment. They put their heart into everything they do and I'm lucky to have found them and to be here on my days of dialysis." — Joseph O.
We couldn't have said it better ourselves. During National Nurses Week, we thank our remarkable nurses and celebrate the many ways their compassion and professionalism deliver more tomorrows to our patients, their families, and friends.
