Aspire Counseling Services

Aspire Counseling Services Aspire offers treatment for Adults and Adolescents who suffer from SUDs. DHCS: DHCS CERTIFICATION EXPIRATION: 10/31/2023

At Aspire Counseling Services we share the philosophy of Narcotics Anonymous: “It’s not what or how much you used but only what you want to do about your problem and how we can help.” Alcohol and other drugs become a problem when we continue to use despite negative consequences to our lives. Perhaps a person only drinks every 6 months but every time they drink they get a DUI. Or maybe you are a daily drinker who has a difficult time coping without alcohol. Perhaps you have had a physical injury that caused you to be prescribed painkillers and as your body gained a tolerance you ended up using more and more until no amount could take away your pain. Or maybe you are the person who has lost their relationships with family members due to street drugs and are suffering from the guilt and shame of not being able to stop. No matter your poison, being held hostage by a substance is no way to live. The counselors at Aspire Counseling Service are all ex addicts with multiple years in recovery obtained by different methods. We incorporate behavior modification, cognitive thinking, mindfulness skills, 12 step concepts, and many other models depending on each person's needs and belief system. We understand that having a healthy support system is crucial to recovery and work to involve family members when possible as well as peers, sponsors, friends, and medical professionals.

Recovery brings structure and structure brings peace.

Having a routine in sobriety can be one of the most powerful tools for healing. It gives you a sense of stability, supports healthy habits, and helps you manage even the hardest days.

At Aspire, we work with you to build routines that support both your recovery and your daily life. Small consistent choices can lead to lasting change. 💚

Reaching a milestone in recovery is more than just a moment in time. It reflects your strength, your choices, and the times you kept moving forward even when it was hard.

Each milestone is a reminder of how far you have come and the growth that continues with each step.

Take time to recognize your progress. Whether you choose to share it with someone you trust, write it down, or simply pause and reflect, know that it matters.
You are doing the work and that is something to be proud of. 💚

We shared insights on mental health, wellness strategies, and counseling support—empowering school staff to support students’ emotional and behavioral well-being. 🌟

Did you know that mental health conditions and substance use often happen together?

This is called a co-occurring disorder. It means someone is dealing with both at the same time, and one can make the other harder to manage without the right support.

At Aspire, we focus on treating the whole person. We understand how mental health and substance use are connected, and we’re here to help you work through both with care and compassion.

September is National Recovery Month 💜
At Aspire, we believe recovery is a journey of hope, healing, and strength. This month, we honor those walking that path and the loved ones who stand beside them.

You can make a difference by learning about addiction, showing up for recovery events, and simply spreading kindness and awareness.
