I put my Etsy shop in vacation mode in December because I was going to have open heart surgery, a triple bypass on January 22nd and I was told I had to recover for 3 to 6 months. It has been almost 3 months now and I'm feeling better enough that I can open my Etsy shop again.

I took away the custom button listing because I'm not quite sure if I will be able to make buttons because it might hurt my chest where they cut through the sternum to get to my heart. There are still certain things that I cannot do or even certain ways that I cannot sit because it hurts my chest. So I will wait another month before I try to make buttons.

In the meantime, I have adjusted the price of the diamond paintings because I realize they were a bit too high. I am working on more diamond paintings and those will take some time to finish. I was actually hoping I would have a lot of new things available, but I just don't have them because these things take a toll on my eyes and hands. I am working on some cross stitch bookmarks and more summer and rainbow themed diamond painting. Those will be in my Etsy shop throughout the summer.

Health update. I thought that I had updated, but I guess I didn't.

I had my triple bypass heart surgery on January 22nd and I spent a week in the hospital, maybe less. My surgery was successful, as you can see LOL, and I seem to be doing great. I don't have as much pain as I thought I would except for when I sneeze which is really painful, but the hospital gave me a bear called a cough buddy. You hold it tight to your chest when you cough or sneeze and it helps with the impact. I actually do have some pain in my chest from where they cut my sternum especially in the morning when I wake up because I've slept wrong. Other than that, the pain is minimal.

My Etsy shop is still in vacation mode because I don't know what I will be able to do and I will have to deactivate some listings like the custom buttons just in case someone orders something I won't be able to make. I'll have to go through my inventory to make sure that everything that is listed in my Etsy shop is actually in my possession. I will also be adding some diamond painting kits that I am going to destash as well as some diamond paintings that I've made for selling.

Last year I went to the Enchanted Cottage Spring Craft Faire as well as the Fall Craft Faire and I was invited to come to the Spring Craft Faire this month, but I can't lift heavy boxes to set my table up, or even lift the table, or the chair for that matter. Hopefully I will be there for the fall craft faire.

In the meantime, I am busy making diamond paintings and I will try to get my Etsy shop back up and running in the next month or so.

Oh, and someone sent me a diamond painting of a heart with flowers on it and I made it when I came home and I've attached the image of it with the frame attached to it. I truly appreciate the thoughts and prayers and well-wishes. Thank you so much to the two people who came to visit me besides my life partner who was there everyday. Also attached is a picture of me holding the bear and the bear by itself.

I just wanted to post an update on my health stuff. Nice way to put it eh?

So I'm having a triple bypass heart surgery on Thursday January 22nd. So that means my Etsy shop will be closed until further notice. I was told it might be 3 months or longer. I'm sure you know what is involved with that surgery and why it will take that long, so I'm sure you'll understand why it'll be a long recovery.

I'm sorry to say, but I'm closing my Etsy shop. This is not permanent, but I just can't keep it open anymore for now. I am having heart issues and let's just say that my heart is just not in it anymore. I will be putting my Etsy shop into vacation mode but not deleting the entire shop.

I will be having a triple bypass heart surgery and I don't know when that's going to be, and I don't know how long the recovery is going to be, but I would imagine I probably won't be doing anything for the next 4 to 6 months. So, it was fun having my Etsy Shop and making things for people, but I have to stop.

I had so much fun at the craft faire yesterday at the one and only Enchanted Cottage here in Bakersfield over on California Ave. and A St. Many people loved to go through and buy single buttons and I offered boxed set prices on multiple single buttons. I also sold quite a few of the boxes of button sets. It was so awesome to see how many people loved the diamond paintings.

We're sending our best wishes to Bruce and hope he has a speedy recovery. We love you Bruce and Stan, and we thank you so much for the opportunity to sell our crafts at your shop. It is the only place I feel comfortable setting up a table to sell my crafts. I look forward to the next craft faire.
