A mother brought her 9-year-old son to the Kern County Fire Station in Lost Hills after a snake had bitten him.

Great group of people today @ Golden Assisted Living Center in Shafter. They have a resident kitty named "Precious", she helped out with our CPR/First Aid class! She was adopted into their facility after her owner/patient passed. The administrator informed us that she will visit all the residents & curl up on beds, laps, copy machines, etc for some "love pets"!

The Office of Administrative Law has approved the request by the Cal/OSHA Standards Board for the changes to the Heat Illness Prevention Standard to take effect May 1, 2015.

As such, employers need to familiarize themselves with the changes and update their heat illness prevention programs accordingly.

Precision Safety Solutions Inc. has prepared a summary of the changes, available in English and Spanish.

Cal/OSHA has also developed a Guidance for Employers overview document. They are also in the process of creating a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document. When it is available, we will distribute it and post in on the Precision Safety Solutions Inc. website.
