A simple, fun turkey craft helped build fine motor skills and executive function—kids practiced planning, sequencing, and staying focused while cutting, gluing, and creating!

Our OT team is celebrating dressed as the characters from Inside Out — because just like in therapy, we know all feelings matter!

💛 Joy reminds us that play and connection help us grow.
💙 Sadness shows it’s okay to slow down and feel.
❤️ Anger helps us learn how to express frustration safely.
💚 Disgust teaches boundaries and self-awareness.
💜 Fear reminds us that bravery starts with small steps.
🧡 Anxiety helps us plan, prepare, and ask for help when things feel uncertain.

In occupational therapy, we support kids in understanding and managing all these emotions through play, movement, and sensory experiences — building regulation and confidence from the inside out! 🌈🧠

🌍💚 Happy World Occupational Therapy Day! 💚🌍

Today we celebrate the amazing world of Occupational Therapy — and the joy of helping children grow, play, learn, and thrive every single day!

In pediatric OT, a child’s “occupations” are the important everyday activities that build their independence, confidence, and participation — like:
🎨 Playing and being creative
✏️ Learning and paying attention at school
👕 Getting dressed and managing daily routines
🧠 Regulating emotions and using their senses to explore the world
🤝 Building friendships and social skills

As occupational therapists, we help children develop the skills they need to succeed in these meaningful activities. Whether it’s improving fine motor coordination, supporting sensory processing, building strength and confidence, or fostering emotional regulation — we focus on what matters most to each child and family.

Here’s to the joy of play, the power of growth, and the beauty of every child reaching their fullest potential! 💫
